What Fat?

Traditionally, Beef Dripping or Lard will give crispier  tastier batter and chips, though these days vegetable or corn oil is more commonplace as it it easier to use and filter.

The ideal temperature of the oil should be 185°C and maintained at this temperature during cooking.
